I wanted to challenge myself to paint a chrome shiny metal surface with a tint. I had the composition for this painting ready in my sketchbook for more than a year but I needed to finish other projects first. This was a lot of fun and I’m most likely gonna continue making more tinted metal creatures in the future. As I don’t work from photographs, Ai or observation, the way metal reflects light becomes an exercise in imaginative perception. Sometimes I’m really happy with what I’ve achieved other times I’m more on the fence. If you read this text I thank you deeply and you can prove it by commenting your favourite shade of red!
